Vegetarian Flatbread Pizza
Vegetarian Flatbread Pizza
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of flatbread (naan bread, pita bread, or any flatbread of your choice)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce or marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup sliced red onions
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- Fresh basil leaves, torn (for garnish)
- Olive oil, for drizzling
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Flatbreads:
- Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or directly on a baking stone.
Assemble the Pizzas:
- Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce or marinara sauce evenly over each flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Add Vegetables:
- Distribute the sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, red onions, and black olives evenly over the cheese.
Season and Drizzle:
- Drizzle a little olive oil over the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bake the Pizzas:
- Place the baking sheet or stone in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are crispy.
Finish and Serve:
- Remove the flatbread pizzas from the oven and let them cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with torn fresh basil leaves.
