Vegetarian Flatbread Pizza


 

Vegetarian Flatbread Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces of flatbread (naan bread, pita bread, or any flatbread of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • Fresh basil leaves, torn (for garnish)
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Flatbreads:

    • Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or directly on a baking stone.
  3. Assemble the Pizzas:

    • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce or marinara sauce evenly over each flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  4. Add Vegetables:

    • Distribute the sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, red onions, and black olives evenly over the cheese.
  5. Season and Drizzle:

    • Drizzle a little olive oil over the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Bake the Pizzas:

    • Place the baking sheet or stone in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are crispy.
  7. Finish and Serve:

    • Remove the flatbread pizzas from the oven and let them cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with torn fresh basil leaves.
  8. Enjoy:

    • Serve your vegetarian flatbread pizzas hot and enjoy them as a delicious and satisfying meal!
